Contexte clinique
What it measures
The GAD-2 consists of the first two items of the GAD-7 — nervousness and uncontrollable worry — rated over the past two weeks.
Validity
At a cut-point of 3, the GAD-2 showed 86% sensitivity and 83% specificity for generalized anxiety disorder (Kroenke et al., 2007), and it also performs reasonably for panic and social anxiety. A positive screen should be followed by the full GAD-7.
